Penquins, Flamingos, and Giraffes.. Oh My!

This Tuesday's play date we took a field trip to the ZOO! Lilly and Harlen were very excited for all of the animals they were going to get to see.

Harlen: "Hey girlfriend... You ready?!"
Lilly: "Mom. I want a nap. Why is she touching me?"

We decided to go to the Dallas zoo. They have done lots of remodeling/updates and it was amazing. It helped that we picked a day with perfect weather, as well.

Did you notice Harlen's bow? Sara made it just for the occasion! :)
And yes... my child needed a wardrobe change halfway through. If you know my child, the fact that we only wore 2 outfits yesterday is amazing!

Have to say, the giraffe part was the best. Aside from the fact giraffes are probably the girls' favorite animal thanks to the Sofie Giraffe teethers, see...

The giraffes were the best because of the area they designed for them. As you walk around their area, the giraffes are below you. So when they walk up to you, you are practically eye level with them!

Don't drop Sophie, Harlen!

We saw many other fun things too. They girls spent most of their time in our Moby wraps, since they like to see everything that's going on.

Us Mommies got a good work out! All in all, it was a fantastic day with our best buds and the mommies got to have TWO quiet car rides. 

That's right, the girls slept the whole way there and the whole way home. The question is... how do we top that for next Tuesday? Sara? Ideas? :)
